Exclusive African Safaris – Uganda Birding Tours and Adventure Safaris
Uganda is a country lying in the Equatorial Africa and showing amazing contrasts starting from the source of the Victoria Nile near Jinja to the snow-covered Rwenzori mountains, the high reaching forests of the Rwandan Virunga Volcanoes to the desert area of Karamoja plateau.
No other African country can have variable habitats like Uganda and this richness shows well in its ever growing bird list of more than 1060 species. This list includes many exclusive bird species, like shoebill and the extraordinary endemics of the Albertine Rift valley and a good number of forest birds, water birds, mountain birds along with the amazing savannah bird species that you are unlikely to find elsewhere. The bird list is large and so impressive even though the country is small in size (spread over 235,000km2); it is equal in size to that of Great Britain, ultimately becoming the best destination for Uganda birding tours.
